I am a full time promoter, sales person and marketer who has been involved in the industry for over 3 years and has been fortunate enough to represent some of the biggest brands in the UK. As a enthusiastic man with a thirst for adventure, I recently just achieved a degree in outdoor activities and management. My best quality is to my ability to work well in a team whether it be as a leader or under supervision. I have developed this skill from recreational and work in the outdoor environment, but now find they transfer well into my career in promotion and sales.   • Assistant Event Manager

    Assistant Event Manager : "A Wild West Weekend," May 2012, Hollyford Centre, Castleton, UK. Roles included planning the event, leading a team, time keeping, rotas, organisation.

  • Chef

    Luxury Hostel Weekends, April - August 2012, Wales. Role included preparing and cooking breakfast and dinner for groups of upto 50 people staying at the hostel, stock checking ingredients, conforming with special dietary needs, food and kitchen hygiene.

  • Credit Card Trained

    Receptionist, Creation Climbing Centre, Birmingham UK. Role included taking credit card payments both face to face and over the phone. Setting up direct debits with customers for membership at the centre.

  • Data Capture

    Dissertation at University involved data capture of participants from over 100 subjects. This data was submitted into a PDA and uploaded onto a digital spreadsheet.

  • Demonstration

    Sales assistant, Creation Climbing Centre, Birmingham UK. Role included demonstrating climbing equipment that was for sale in the shop. Instructions were given by the brands to employees on how they should demonstrate the equipment in the correct manner. I also trained other employees to mimic this demonstration technique and trained them to use the correct method.

    Three Peaks Walk, August 2012, Yorkshire UK. I organised and managed this event, most specifically the leaders of the walk. This was done by time management, check point management, group motivation, overall group management, health and safety training.

    A variety of organised social weekend trips where I have been employed as a host to greet new visitors and introduce them to other guests. Many visitors would travel to these events alone and therefore may not know any of the other guests prior to introduction. I would then cater to other needs such as serving tea and coffee, ensuring their comfort during their stay.
